Although the price has not yet been released on the new Blackberry Playbook it is expected to be sold in the cheap range – or at the lower end in the tablet market. It has been suggested that the price will be somewhere around $1,000. Although this might seem high to some consumers the fact is this unit features a number of specs that are not available in other models at the present time. For example, the dual core CPU – this is the first time it is being offered in the tablet world. Although it is expected to be utilized more in the future it will still be after the Blackberry Playbook is released in the U.S. and most likely before it is released worldwide.
The price will also be a result of the featured 2 HD cameras. Both of these offer support for 1080p video recording. Not only is this impressive it is also the first of its kind. One issue the new Blackberry Playbook might face is the delayed release. This will make it more difficult to make a strong impact the iPad already has on the market. Still, the Blackberry Playbook is following in the advanced footsteps of smartphones by offering the compatibility out of the box for serious work capability. It is equipped with all of the goodies. Consumers will most likely be particularly drawn to the ‘full’ web experience. This means flash compatibility along with true multi-tasking. One of the advanced features will be the capability of video conferencing.
Although the Blackberry Playbook will will come in an unassuming glossy black. It will offer rounded edges. This indicates that the shrunken iPad has gone corporate. All of this will come with the new operating system. The Blackberry Playbook is destined to take a large market share come the first quarter of 2011.
