Various outlets have published conflicting reports about Microsoft's intentions with Windows on low-powered tablet PCs.
Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal have suggested that Windows compatibility with the ARM architecture will be announced in early 2011,which would open the platform up to a host of tablet,smartphone and other embedded devices. However ZDNet says only a lite version of Windows 8 will run on such CPUs,though a new Windows CE Edition could be launched sooner.
