Everything you want to know about the New Apple iPhone 5

Apple finally announced the much awaited iPhone 5 on September 12th with much fanfare. Apple never fails to create buzz for its phones. iPhone 5 is no exception. No other products create buzz like Apple products do, especially the iPhones. Be it design concepts of the new iPhone or possible features, the rumours and guessing game begins months before the actual product announcement. And the buzz created by Apple’s winning in Apple vs. Samsung Case(read: reputation blow to Samsung) won’t hurt either as iPhone 5 will eat some of Samsung’s share.

Here’s the list of features
the Apple flagship has to offer:
- Apple A6 processor which is 2x faster than A5 according to Apple.
-bigger 4.0″ Retina display with 11366×640 resolution(326 ppi)
-thinner and lighter metal frame at 7.6mm and 112g
-100Mb LTE support, dual-band WiFi support
-front camera with 720p video recording
-3 Microphones
-smaller Connector than the previous one(80% smaller)
-8MP Secondary Camera
WORTH THE MONEY?
To make your buying decision easier, let’s dig deeper into the feature list and look what the iPhone 5 has to offer.
PROCESSOR
According to Apple, the new A6 chip on the iPhone 5 promises 2X performance over the previous A5 chip which means smoother UI, faster loading of web pages, faster response time and better gaming. There’s no information available about number of cores or clock speed yet.
DISPLAY
Regarded as the crispest phone display in world, iPhone’s Retina Display got bigger and better. Measuring 4″ diagonally, it boasts of 326ppi pixel density with 1136×640 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Bigger screen means more real estate for apps. Apple has added 5th row of icons on the home screen which is a welcome addition.
FORM-FACTOR
iPhone 5 just got bigger, thinner and lighter. At 115g and 7.6 mm it is 20% lighter and 18% thinner than the previous iPhone. For now, it’s thinnest handset in the market. The glass back is now replaced with a metal one, so you can now accidentally drop it a couple of times. The overall feel in hand is pretty good too.
CAMERA
The camera unit on the iPhone 5 is same as the iPhone 4s i.e. 8MegaPixels. It boasts of some fancy features like backside illumination, a hybrid IR filter and f2.4 aperture. There’s a panorama mode which stitch the images into a bigger 28MP one. The A6 chip on the backend improves the opening and shot taking time subtly. Apple claims it to give better low light performance and noise reduction capabilities. You can now capture photos while recording your 1080P video.Front camera too is improved. It now supports 720p video. So, iPhone 5 has got a pretty good camera units.
CONNECTOR
The new connector called lightning is 80% smaller than the previous one. Its good move but not the best one out there. Apple could have switched to the industry standard micro-USB. It is better than previous connector though. Although your older iPhone accessories like speaker docks will not be compatible with this one, but at least it will not accumulate dust like the previous one.
BATTERY
Apple claims that iPhone 5 will boast of  decent battery life. Still 4G LTE is a big battery hog. Here’s what Apple claims: 8h 3G browsing, 8h 3G talktime, 8h LTE browsing, 10h WiFi browsing, 10h video playback, 40h music playback and 225h. If these claims are true, then iPhone 5 got blessed with a decently powerful battery.
PRICING
Pre-orders are going on and if you live in US, you will get your iPhone 5 on 21st September. 199$ for 16GB, 299$ for 32GB, 399$ for 64GB. It will be available in stores on 21st September in USA, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Canada, Japan, Hong-Kong and Singapore. More countries will follow in the coming month.
CONCLUSION
So the new iPhone 5 has got thinner and lighter metal body which feels good in hand. The bigger 4″ display won’t hurt either. Better Processor, better camera, batter battery life just make the decision more easier. So taking into consideration all the improved features, it is worth your hard earned bucks , more so if Apple delivers its promises on battery life and all. As the saying goes, “Bigger is better”.

Remote access from Smartphones.

There may have been several occasions when you were at home, on holiday or travelling and urgently needed to access your office PC for some important documents. Or you may have kept some files to be downloaded on your home PC and now you need to shut down the PC from a remote area (office or outstation). What
do you do? How do you gain access to your PC? You have the option of asking a colleague or family member to help you out, but what if you have some confidential data on your PC and would not want to compromise on privacy? Well, there is a way to gain access to your PC via the Internet using the Remote Desktop Protocol or RDP. But this involves setting up a live IP address, which is visible all around the world. You can possibly do this for home, but what about your office PC, which is behind a firewall or a proxy server? You would not be able to gain access as easily. In this workshop, we shall show you how simple it is to gain access to your PC at home or office from your Android smartphone or tablet as well as the iPhone or the iPad. All you need is an internet-enabled device with a free-to-use app called TeamViewer.
Configuring TeamViewer is a child’s play and you can get working on it in a matter of minutes. At the same time, the utility is very safe and secure. Once you have your setup working, you can also connect to your desktop PC from any Internet cybercafé using the Web login.
TeamViewer is an all-in-one solution for remote access over the Internet. It is free for personal use and is compatible with desktop operating systems such as Windows, Mac, Linux and also with mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS. Download TeamViewer for your desktop PC from www.teamviewer.com. We recommend the portable version which can be run from a USB drive or a CD. The app for the smartphone and tablets can be downloaded from their respective online app stores. Once downloaded, you'll have to configure it at both ends once, but before you do this, you might need to register with TeamViewer for a free user account.
You can do so by signing up at https://login.teamviewer.com/ and creating a free account.

The Desktop PC Configuration
Start TeamViewer, agree with terms and conditions and proceed with the installation as you would usually do with any other software. Once the installation is done, start TeamViewer and it will sync with its online servers and allocate a unique ID and password for your computer. Note down these details and keep them safe. Every time you restart the application, you will receive a new password, while the ID will remain static for your PC. This ID and password is a one-time security pass to give the invitation for a remote login to your PC. You can use this ID and password to connect to your desktop PC from a remote location. But if you restart your PC very often, it will be difficult to keep track of the changing passwords. For this reason, you need to setup an unattended access to TeamViewer. Click on ‘Connection’ and then on ‘Setup unattended access’. This will bring up a wizard wherein details such as the PC name and password needs to be specified. Give the desktop PC a name and password of your choice. The next screen will then ask you to enter the details that you registered online. If you did not do it earlier, you can create one now too. After entering the details, your system will now be available to you online with the same password every time. Your desktop PC is now available for remote access. You can now choose to lock the desktop or turn off the monitor.

The Client Side
After installing TeamViewer on your handheld, start the app. You will be welcomed by an initial introduction screen, which can be skipped by pressing the back button. The next screen will be ready on the ‘Connection’ tab, where you can type in the details of the ID and the password of the computer you would like to connect to. Simply skip this and click on the ‘Partner list’ tab. Here you can log in using your username and password you created on the TeamViewer website.
Once you do this, you will see a button called ‘My Partners’. Click on this button and you will now see the desktop PC available online. Click on the PC name and you can gain access to your desktop PC. And you’re done! Simple, isn’t it?
Once in it, you can investigate the number of features TeamViewer has to offer. You can change resolutions, switch monitors, tweak the performance by optimizing for quality or speed, remove wallpapers for better speeds, disable remote cursor, use the keyboard, use the mouse right-clicks, enable function buttons, and the list goes on. Well, enjoy your remote access.

How To Use Windows Default Software To Take Screenshot

You might have gone through some situation where you needed to take the screenshot of what we have done.Consider an example. You are the representative of a company helping people to solve problems on computer working totally online. And just consider that you had a situation in which a sequence of actions is to be done.Your clent doesnot understand you by words and he asks for screenshot explanation. Then only you came to know that there is no software to take screenshot or video of the activities you have to do.So what to do?Your client is also waiting..But there is a solution “Problem Steps Recorder”.Which is a default function in windows 7(might be available in lower or upper versions)But the joke is that this facility is not really meant for taking screen shot but is meant for the purpose for remote assistance for troubleshooting purpose if you have any problem in your pc.It will automatically takes the snapshot of the activities.the main advantage is that the screenshots will be having the correct steps in wordsuch as “click left mouse button””click start” etc….so it can be send to any person who have only basic knowledge so that he can just read, see and understand the whole sequence. Also the file is saved as MHTML and as a ZIP file.So space is saved. Also a complete review of what is done will be also added at the end.(you need a browser to view this .mhtml file)
To use the “Problem Steps Recorder”
1)Go to “control panel”
2)Expand “all control panel items”
3)Click on “Troubleshooting” menu
4)Then “Get help from a friend” on the left side of the screen
5)At the bottom select “Problem Steps Recorder”
6)Then you can see a popup window having options for “start record”,”stop record” etc…..
7)When you stop record a popup window will open asking you to save that recorded piece of file
8)Save the file in any name anywhere
The recorded item will be saved as MHTML with a name starting with problem followed by a serial number inside a ZIP file.so totally the space is saved and you can have recording of as many actions as you want at a strectch.
You will also get brief description of every action you did above each image (including time, date etc)and a additional summary at last.

Task Manager, Regedit and Folder Options Disabled by Virus?

All must be aware of this problem caused by a virus called “Brontok”. Sometimes after removing the virus completely from our system, you’ll still face some problems such as you can no longer bring up Windows Task Manager from CTRL+ALT+DEL. You get the error message saying “Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator....

If You think that it’s easy to fix this problem by going to Registry Editor, you can’t! You'll get a error message “Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator”.

Folder Options and even Show Hidden Files & Folder is disabled! How frustrating! Don’t worry, here’s how to restore your Windows Task Manager, Registry Editor, Folder Options and Show hidden files & folders.

Brontok virus will make some changes to the system restrictions in order to hide itself from easy detection and also from easy cleaning.

Here’s a free tool called Remove Restrictions Tool (RRT) which is able to re-enables all what the virus had previously disabled, and gives you back the control over your own computer.

Remove Restrictions Tool is able to re-enable:
- Registry Tools (regedit)
- Ctrl+Alt+Del
- Folder Options
- Show Hidden Files

Small and easy to use. Make sure you boot in to Safe Mode to use Remove Restrictions Tool (RRT).
